Second Most Admired Woman in America? Governor Sarah Palin

Hi all:

In this year's annual USA Today/Gallup poll of Most Admired Woman in America, Governor Sarah Palin - in her first year in the poll - soared to second place, ahead of perennial second place winner, Oprah Winfrey. According to the article:

Palin, McCain's 2008 vice presidential pick and the first woman ever to run on a Republican presidential ticket, makes a strong second place debut, named by 11% of Americans. Her entrance on the list crowds Oprah Winfrey out of second place, a position she held each year from 2002 through 2007.

And if you're still looking for a 2009 wall calendar, why not get the #1 office item on Amazon.com?

Created by Governor Palin's longtime friend and her Deputy Mayor of Wasilla, Judy Patrick, this calendar has big day squares to keep track of all your appointments. It contains three or four photos per month of the Palins from Sarah's mayoral days to her "welcome home" in September 2008 when, as the new VP candidate, she returned to Alaska to execute her commander-in-chief duties as commander of the permanently deployed Alaska National Guard, to see the Alaska Stryker Brigade off to Iraq.

Patrick is a professional photographer, and you can see more of her shots of the Alaska energy industry in Sarah Takes on Big Oil, which I reviewed here a couple of weeks ago ...

Engage,
