Governor Palin's Speech in Indiana on April 16, 2009

Hi all:

I invite you to watch this speech. IMHO, it's even better than the RNC speech on September 4, 2008. Why? Because it's all Sarah. She wrote it. She owns it. It's personal, it's funny, it's honest, it's gutwrenching, it's prescient about the state of the country.

Watch the whole thing for an Alaskan geography lesson, including that the biggest earthquake in North America happened in Alaska the year she was born 196 ..., at which point she stares at the microphone and taps it, "is this thing on?" It was pretty hilarious, you have to see it. :) (HINT: It's in Part Two.)

You'll also hear her views on the stimulus, our indebtedness to China, missile defense, North Korea, and, of course, abortion, since this was a prolife event.

Part Two:

Part Three:

Part Four:

Part Five:

I was particularly moved by Part Six when she goes into great detail about Trig's arrival and her struggles dealing with the news. When she chokes up, I choke up. Here it is if you don't have time to watch the whole speech (about 35 minutes):

Part Seven:

Really Great Stuff.

See if you don't like it even better than the RNC speech.

Engage,
